It is meant to be used in addition to any formal supports you may need in your healing journey.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      NOTE: The Good Grief Guide TM is not a replacement for needed medical care or counseling therapy.

“Grief is the most difficult journey you never asked to go on.”

Hi, my name is Ruby.  I am a counsellor and social worker with over 25 years experience in grief counselling, and I am the founder of the Good Grief Guide TM.  I am over 30 years into my own grief journey (which started in my early 20’s) which has helped to shape my life.

I often say that grief is the most difficult journey you never asked to go on.  If you have found your way here, I am honored and grateful to be your guide. My hope is for you to find a welcoming and gentle place to land in your grief, and for you to benefit from what I have learned personally and professionally over the last 30+ years.

My goal is for you to leave with your own “bag of tools and tips” that you may apply to your own personal grief journey, and find your way to healing, happiness, and peace.

Since 1990

Tragically, my oldest brother was killed in 1990 in a motorcycle accident.  Less than two years later, I would lose my young husband and become widowed at the age of 22 years.  This was not the life I planned.  It has, however, become a life of healing, changing, and beauty – learning to accept and grow through the tragedies of life to find and bask in a beautiful life I could never have imagined.
